About the Property
Starkey’s Point is a premier waterfront compound comprised of two separate properties and multiple private cabins. The mainland cabin is located just off of Route 3 near the state boat ramp and an ideal location for guests within a large group that prefer stay on the mainland. It is also where all guests can do laundry, park several vehicles, boat trailers or even charge an EV in the oversized lot. Starkey’s Point camp compound is located a scenic 15-minute boat ride from the state owned boat launch area. Guests can arrange for a water taxi ride, rent a boat, or bring their own boats to access the waterfront compound. The mainland cabin and the waterfront camp can be rented separately or as a package. The two properties rented together total 16 Beds, 5 full baths, and capable of accommodating 16-23 Guests.
The mainland loft cabin features
Constructed in 2025, the mainland cabin features a large studio apartment with 1 Full Bathroom, Full Sized Kitchen, king-sized bed, queen bed, and a twin bed on the second floor. The first floor features 1 Full Bathroom and two GE smart laundry washer & dryer combination units in the laundry room. On the outside, the property features an outdoor fire pit, gas grill and an oversized parking lot, capable of parking over 10 cars and boat trailers and is equipped with a Chargepoint L2 EV car charger. Starlink internet allows guests to work remotely, or view their favorite streaming channels on the 55” LG flatscreen TV. Directly across the street is the Oswegatchie River, renowned for its trout and smallmouth bass fishing. Adventurer’s can walk a hundred yards down the road and throw their tube, kayak or canoe into the river and enjoy a lazy ride that can go for miles through state preserved forest!
Starkey’s Point Camp Compound
The Starkey’s Point Compound features a main cabin, family cabin, couples cabin, two singles cabins, boathouse, docks, sauna, hot tub, and more described below. The camp is 100% powered by renewable energy and battery storage. A backup generator ensures that guests have ample power on site at all times.
Main cabin
Renovated in 2025-26 the main cabin features 2 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms and 1 full outdoor shower and bathroom. The master bedroom on the 2nd floor features a queen-sized bed, stove/fireplace, full bathroom, mini-fridge, office desk area, and outdoor balcony with seating. The first floor features a full kitchen with new appliances, large great room, fireplace, reading nook, full bathroom and bedroom featuring two bunkbeds with 4 twin mattresses. An outdoor firepit, Adirondack chairs and loungers on the new composite decks provide ample spaces to relax and soak in the scenery. Starlink internet and two flatscreen TVs enable guests to enjoy all their streaming content and if needed work remotely. The Main Cabin sleeps up to 6 guests comfortably.
Family Cabin
Renovated in 2025 the Family Cabin features two queen beds on ground floor and a queen bed in loft area. Coffee bar, mini fridge, flat screen TV, wifi and new composite deck and outdoor seating on each side of the cabin. The Family cabin can sleep 3- 6 guests.
Couples Cabin
The Couples Cabin is a single room and features a queen bed, outdoor deck area, wifi and small dock. The couples cabin sleeps two.
Singles Cabin
There are two singles cabins. Each are single room, and feature two twin beds, outdoor deck area and wifi. Each singles cabin sleeps two.
Boathouse and other Amenities
Completed in 2026, the boathouse features parking for two boats, dock, a massive 1200SF roof deck, pergola, outdoor kitchen, outdoor fireplace, wifi, and outdoor seating provide ample space for both sunbathing, yoga, and shade. A cedar walled sauna sits lakeside behind the Main Cabin, and directly adjacent is an outdoor hot tub overlooking the private secluded cove. A lakeside composite deck and boat dock with outdoor fire pit is located on the southern side of the peninsula, and a large boat dock separate from the boat house is located on the northern side of the peninsula and can park two large boats. Guests are welcome to enjoy the two canoes, two paddleboards, and two kayaks during their stay. Within the boathouse there are tubes that can be towed behind guest’s boats.
